Topaz sharpen ai plugin1/31/2024 I should draw your attention to the Auto-update preview switch below the navigator. The navigator allows you to magnify your subject, always a splendid idea when applying sharpening. On your right-hand side, you’ll find the navigator and the process settings. You can also drag-and-drop images from the desktop or folder of your choice. It’s also possible to batch process files, either processing all images with the same settings or individually. Importing images in the standalone versionĬlick open and import single image or multiple images into ‘Sharpen AI’ standalone version. On your right you’ll find the application settings and the top bar includes other interesting features that we’ll talk about later. The main window is largely occupied by a preview of your selected image. The easiest way to see how ‘Sharpen AI’ works is through the application interface itself. You may want to check the Luminosity forum and see if other people have issues with the Topaz plug-ins or any other plug-ins.Get a Free License for Batch AI Photo Sharpener Pro: Sharpen and Enhance Your Photos in Bulk with AI Technology Sharpen AI interface So, I do not think changing the blending mode is an ideal work around. Even though with this particular image the color degradation was largely removed, there were other subtle changes. When using the Luminosity blending mode, the sharpen effect is still there. This layer used Sharpen AI, normal sharpen mode (not stabilize or focus). When the blending mode for this layer is changed to Luminosity, then degradation in color is minimized. I noticed the same thing that you experience the adjusted layer color was degraded. However, even though I do not use Luminar as a stand alone program, as a text, I opened it in stand alone mode and ran Sharpen AI on an image. So I haven't experienced your issue using my workflow. I use Luminar as a Photoshop plug-in and Topaz Denoise AI and Sharpen AI, also as Photoshop plug-ins. I then used L4 standalone with the Topaz products as plug ins for comparison purposes. I was using LR standalone with the Topaz products as plug ins. I think you've misunderstood my original post. Good luck, I hope you find a solution to your problem. That's why I'm suggesting you try and keep things simple.Īnyway, I can't suggest more than what I've already posted. Which can be very confusing and convoluted (especially when processing batches) because you get multiple copies of the returned plugin images in the thumbnail work-screen. Your original workflow is using the same three applications, but L4 and Sharpen AI as plugins. It's a three step process, and helps you determine which individual application is causing you the "colour degradation" you're experiencing. I'm not sure why you think my suggested workflow is "very convoluted"? In any case, with respect, the workflow above looks very convoluted. Load the TIFFs into Topaz Sharpen AI standalone, apply edits then save/output as required.Īgain, thank you Den but as I said in my previous reply I only want to use ONE piece of main software, ie LR OR L4, not both. Load the TIFFs into Luminar 4 standalone, then apply edits (no sharpening), then export as TIFF 16bit I want to use either LR or L4, not both, hence my test to see how Topaz worked with each of them. Thanks for your suggested workflow but I've never used Photoshop and don't wish to start now to be honest. Run the Topaz Sharpen AI plugin, apply edits, then close and save. Load the TIFF into Photoshop, then run the Luminar 4 plugin and apply edits (no sharpening). Process your raw files with LR Classic (disable sharpening), then export as TIFF 16bit It returns the image as a layer and there is very noticeable colour degradation. When I go through the same process with L4 I find that the Focus option is terrible, and the Stabilise option fantastic. It returns the image as a TIFF and there is no colour degradation. For a specific RAW image, if I open it in the former then export to SAI I find that the Focus option works very well. First off, I am NOT a technical person but I'm utterly confused having tested Sharpen AI with both LR CC and L4.
